Some interesting political maneuvering:
NRA informs us that Senator Jack Harper voted against his own bill in order to save it from being killed, which allowed it to be brought back up for consideration today.

Yes – an explanation – it required a minimum of 16 votes, and because of one senator being out on a family emergency, they had only 15 – so Sen Harper voted “nay” to make it a tie, and they could then schedule a new vote the next day. The missing senator returned, plus two others changed their vote (wanted to be a part of the victory?) so it passed handily, 18-10.
Supposedly, the house vote will not be a problem.

I believe it still has to get through the house. Also it’s not certain the Governor will sign it.
Still, it’s good progress.
