Memphis Mayor Herenton just published an article in the Tri-State Defender newspaper (link is at my employer’s website, the Main Street Journal: http://www.mainstreetj.com) where he explicitly brings up the racial angles in his race against Rep. Steve Cohen. It’s a sign for sure that the Ninth District Congressional race will be very, very ugly and racial.

I remember that no one said anyone was racist for not voting for conservative Alan Keyes in the 2000 Republican Primary. The mainstream news media did its best to ignore and suppress his candidacy. I recall Tom Brokaw NOT even mentioning that Keyes had placed 3rd in the Iowa Primary. But none of that was racist was it?? Nah!
