I’ve been waiting for an order of rifle and pistol primers from Cabela’s since March.
July 8th, 2009 at 10:52 am
I placed an order in the middle of April with Cabela’s. It was back ordered with a 4-6 week delay. Middle of June they delayed it again…last week they canceled it because I didn’t respond to yet another delay.
Where did you order from?

I ordered 3 DPMS LR308 magazines from Midway in November and finally got them about a month ago.

We’re still waiting for ammunition orders that will be here “any day now.” They’ve been trickling in, but even when we get them, we don’t always get the full amount we ordered.
The demand may have lessened, but there’s still a lot of shelf space to be filled back up.

I’m in the same boat as Bob and ExUrbanKevin.
Cabela’s just bumped me back another month for 3k small pistol primers. I’ve been waiting since early April.
On the upside, one Wally-World around me is getting semi-regular shipments of ~100 boxes at a time of 9mm. They only last around 36 hours, but they seem to be getting more and more regular. Its nice to be able to pick up 9mm for 0.19cents/round. Its not as good as reloaded prices, but its better than nothing.

i placed an order with natchez at the beginning of june, and received the ammo just over a week later. the prices were a bit high, but i’m now pretty well stocked with 9mm and .22.

I ordered some Federal HST from Streichers back in mid March…..I’m still waiting.

I placed my order for a Taurus PT-22 back on 2-17-09 and still nothing.

Cabela’s got little of interest to me and what they have is over-priced. Cheaper Than Dirt isn’t. Got good delivery and lots of choices from AmmunitionToGo and see plenty available at AMMOMAN as well. Fast delivery on magazines from C Products (their AR mags direct are $11 or you can order C Product mags from Cheaper Than Dirt for ten bucks more each!)
Good service on tricking out parts from LaRue Tactical–nice folks.
All are online suppliers. Natchez and Midway too!

ha! That’s nothing. I waited 3+ months for my CMP ammo order, and that was in stock.

Ordered 500 rounds of .45 ACP middle of March. Received same at the very end of June.

Georgia Arms still has not shipped my order of 1k of 9mm from two months (almost exactly) ago.

Might be a good time to consider reloading? Although, I wish I could buy 7.62 like it was 3 or more years ago.

Ha! I ordered some .38 LSWCHP from Horady in February and I haven’t seen them yet! Since I can’t find any other source, I’m keeping my order in place.
If someone does have a source for 158gr, .38 LSWCHP, please let me know at crucis.net@gmail.com.

I’m been searching for .22LR for over 3 months. I finally asked what the hell is going on and the nice lady behind the counter said that their distributer told her that they’re sending all the .22 ammo over to the middle east to our soldiers so they can fight terrorists!!!
This doesn’t pass the smell test.
I like a good conspiracy theory as much as the next guy and this has it dripping from all sides.

Guys, buying ammo is like buying gas – don’t buy it unless you get it instantly and especially don’t buy over the internet.

I ordered 20 PMAGs the day after the election and I just got them yesterday. I’m still waiting on the 9mm Olympia Arms upper I ordered in December, however.

placed order with Georgia Arms on 3/2, still hasn’t shipped. June 4th? hehehe.

Funny. Before the election, I could place an order at AmmoMan and have it on my doorstep within the week… at prices that were, on average, 10%+ less than carbon stores.
You go spend your money on instant gratification. I have enough ammo to last me until my shipments get here.

My not-here-yet ammo was ordered in March from Midway.
July 10th, 2009 at 6:27 pm
Placed an on line order with Ammo-To-Go on Sunday for .40 S & W.( Federal Hi-Shok @ $19.95/50) UPS delivered at 5:45PM today. Given the previous posts, I think this would be a good week to buy a lottery ticket, and hopefully my luck holds out.
