Better than being carried by six
I don’t advocate breaking the law and I don’t advocate getting on the internet and telling people you’re going to break the law. But Mack says he’s gonna carry like he always does.
Handy tip: In TN, it is an affirmative defense that a gun was used in lawful self defense.

Just to be clear, Uncle, I really don’t carry a firearm much these days. The point I wanted to make was that IF I feel I need to….I just do.
Like I said, when I travel, there is one in the car. It would never occur to me to carry one into a bar or restaurant.
I think the whole debate is a stubborn attempt to cling to a Southern culture, or what someone thinks is part and parcel thereof.
I know there are sincere arguments out there regarding constitutional rights, but they hold no interest for me. Your mileage may vary.

I don’t s’pose there’s an online guide anywhere to state’s with “affirmative defense” statutes? It bugs me that my GA CCL is not valid in SC. I rarely stay there, but I do drive thru quite a bit.

It’s simple, I should not have to break the law to exercise might rights as a free citizen. By rolling back these infringements, we restore freedom independent of the discretion of a police officer or prosecutor.

Diogenes…
I’d start at http://www.handgunlaw.us. it has a good summary and links to the actual code for all states.

And that, in a nutshell, is how this country came to be in the sorry condition it is today.

Mariner, I said sincere arguments. I don’t happen to agree with them, and no one, I mean no one can divine what the hell the Founders meant. So, for me, its a boring argument.
Don’t think for a minute I am not fully aware of assaults on our Constitution from politicians of every stripe…
But the right to carry is way low on my list. Besides, bearing arms doesn’t mean you can conceal the same.

I disagree. Those guys wrote. A lot. They blogged with a quill and a passion. It’s not hard to figure out what they meant – they wrote, you read.
