Gotta take into account there is a significant portion of the “customer base” that will choose the legal option if it exists just to avoid any potential hassle.
Good example comes from mine and your areas of AL and TN respectively, namely, moonshine. There’s a lot made around these parts and its quite cheap. I’ve had some that was actually decent tasting too and yet most people still go to the liquor store to get their booze.
