Mouse guns

Pocket pistols for survival. I am quite fond of my Kel-Tec.

If you can get by it’s heavy weight (for it’s size), the NAA Guardian in .32NAA is probably the best.

The .32NAA is a necked-down .380ACP round, and is just a little lighter in energy than the hottest .380, but you have to watch the ballistics tables, most of them don’t deal with the short mouse-gun barrels.

The .32NAA Guardian is superior because of penetration due to it’s higher speed. Several layers of clothing on a target makes .380 wounds survivable unless there are more than one vital wound, but the .32NAA will get though the clothing with enough zip left to do it’s job.

Cost might be an issue, $450 for the .32NAA vice $269 for the Kel-Tec P3AT, and ammo availability definitely is (you buy .32NAA from Cor-Bon or you don’t buy it). the P3AT conceals better, because it’s slimmer and about half as heavy. I use a DeSantis pocket holster which gives the holster/gun combo the print of a wallet in light clothing. I carry a spare mag in a small knife holster.

I have both pistols, but generally carry the P3AT in the summer, and jump to 9mm in a Kel-Tec P11 in the winter, except for dangerous-area forays where I carry a “horse”, not a “mouse” pistol.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
