The term “racist” is dead. I’ve been called racist for all sorts of things that had nothing to do with race. You will also be hard pressed to find a scientific definition even of race. Race is quickly becoming a colloquial term for how someone looks and acts. As such, “homey,” is almost a race. And the funny thing is that you can have white, black, and hispanic “homies.”
Heck, Hispanic certainly is not a race, just like Muslim isn’t a race either, but if you say anything non-positive about a Hispanic or a Muslim, I bet you $100 that in 5 minutes you can find a college student who will call you a racist.
Railing against Jews because they are Jews is often called racist. But it is not. Most Jews in the world today are descendants of middle and eastern Europeans whose ancestors were converted to Judaism. However is called anti-semitic racism. It is not.
True semitic Jews look no different than semitic Arabs and middle easterners. As point of fact, more muslims are semites by a very great majority than are Jews. But ignorance should never get in the way of “buzzwords” that win an argument. Of course, they only win arguments against those who are not engaging in any sort of ethnic attack.
I find it ironic that muslims describe themselves as anti-semitic. That means they are anti-themselves moreso than they are anti-Jew.
I don’t particularly have a dog in this fight, except I deplore either side that uses terms they don’t understand to bamboozle others who don’t understand either. But it is a perfect example of how false accusations by ignorami is successful. And an indictment of those of us who do not hold their feet to the fire when make such misrepresentations.
I intentionally further the process of watering down “racist” every chance I get these days. I realized a while back that “racist” now means “I don’t like that” so, because “racist” offends me like “homophobia” does the Anarchangel, I use racist for everything.
Criticize my work performance? Racist. Cut me off in traffic? Racist.
I have to explain it alot, but usually it leaves people either chuckling or shaking their head at me.

I’d like a bumpersticker that says: If Bush Was Hitler/A Fascist, Why Didn’t He Shoot Your Sorry Ass?
