It is a smoothbore, of a traditional Balkan design, but almost certainly made in Italy and almost certainly by a large gunshop Carlo e Figli whose guns were so popular with the Greeks that the word cariofili (a corruption of the firm’s name) is now the Greek word for a flintlock rifle.
