Please tell me that is not the business end of a hollow point round loaded in the chamber of that pistol. Say it with me class “Eject the magazine, open the action, and inspect to make sure the chamber is empty.”
That actually got the adrenaline going even though it’s just a photo. Never looked down the business end of a gun with a round in the chamber before. Scary stuff.
“Even better is that according to the other pictures the thumb safety is off, though the hammer isn’t cocked. Still world class stupid right there.”
Well Kimber has a firing pin block safety, but it’s actuated by the grip safety, not the trigger like in colts. If the grip safety is depressed or gets depressed, a gentle tap to the hammer WILL set the round off.
Man I was looking at all the photos to see what Unc was talking about….then the last one! WOAH!
I was scrolling through the photos calmly until I reached the last one, and the first thought through my head was HOLYFUCKINGCRAP, if I recall correctly.
I’ve taken pictures of some of my own guns but never loaded and always with the digital camera on auto-timer and with me always *behind* the barrel.

Holy crap, I got nervous just looking at the picture.
Glad he’s in Georgia and not out here. We have enough maroons who don’t know the 3 Rules as it is.

I continue to be amazed at stupidity’s ability to continue to amaze me. Wow.

YGTBSM.
I agree with those who commented that just looking at that picture affected them. Seriously.

Hey, nothing to worry about, it’s cocked and LOCKED ain’t it?
Remember that Darwins laws are immutable.
Stupid usually is painful.
