A year ago, a school district in Texas allowed some staff to carry weapons on campus. An amazing thing happened: nothing.

Unfortunately for the rest of us in the state, we don’t get another shot at passing statewide Campus Carry until 2011…
I’m told our 2009 Campus Carry bill got much further than similar bills in other states, but they kinda said the same thing about the Houston Oilers year after year, too…always close but no cigar, or Superbowl. It’s cold comfort. Ugh.
