The really goofy part is they invited the Sheriff’s department out to inspect the site before the event. They actually said it looked safe to them.

I saw a quick picture and there’s no berm at all. They’re just shooting down a hill with trees as a backstop.

And once again, why do we assume someone who carries a gun for a living is actually a firearms expert? Even if they were, they wouldn’t necessarily be a range expert. The deputy is probably a lot more familiar with is maglight than range safety.

I hope the wepaons won’t be destroyed or otherwise taken off the transferrable list for this. Other than that – hit the idiots with as many books as possible.
