Request for help

David has it:

Do you know of a reference to the Camp Perry matches where they have gunsmiths to handle malfunctions? Or any other such venue where they are used to shooters having guns that malfunction by firing a burst and then jamming? Time is of the essence on this.

Dunno if this answers your question; seems as though you have two. First, Running Gun here in SoCal at Raahauge’s Shooting Park has a coupla ‘smiths working, IIRC. Second, I don’t think they’re ‘used to’ seeing eye-popping malfunctions, if that was your question.

Let the lawyer find him. He knows where to look. He should have several directories of expert witnesses. He should also know colleagues who can recommend one. He should also know of successful expert witnesses from cases he has read.

Mine, the one I would recommend, has long since retired and he was in Chicago, in any case. Were I to want one now, I would call colleagues for recommendations first, and then go to name search from the cases, and then the directories.

Sure, I know a ‘smith who does a lot of work at Perry. I don’t know if he’d want to be an expert witness though. Not really his bag.

    Re: Diomed
The smith at Perry would be contacted as an anonymous source, not as an expert witness. Any disclosure would be strictly up to the individual.

  5. Diomed Says:

Alright, Larry. I’ve sent along contact info to Mr. Codrea.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
