The mass murder I didn’t know about
Curt: I have to wonder if this story will receive the kind of media attention that most mass murders do.
Doesn’t fit the narrative.

It’s an odd-looking case. The only person who wasn’t there seems to have been involved in drugs, leading to two (of many) possible scenarios:
1. This guy got wacked out and did it himself, not realizing until he sobered up
2. Other dudes intended to rob this guy, but instead of getting him they got everyone BUT him
Of course, a J-frame or two might’ve changed this situation radically, but I guess we’ll never know.

Wolfwood I was thinking the same thing the first time I heard the story: where was their firearm for defense? You can’t beat a half-dozen or so people to death if one of them is armed and willing to fire
It made Austin local radio news, don’t know about networks (yet?) but there is pretty dramatic audio that plays well in soundbytes so I won’t be surprised if it makes the alphabet channels today or tomorrow.

It’s a tragic incident and a sad commentary on the press. Fox has a story but there is no mention of how the victims were killed.

Per Reuters: “Glynn County police did not say how the victims had been killed, but The Brunswick News quoted an official close to the investigation as saying they had been shot.”
The story has been in the news here but, unless the police start releasing more information, there really isn’t much “story” to cover. The police are being much too quiet.
