Even in the UK with their rowdy Parliament, you are forbidden to call people a “liar” or otherwise insult them. It’s a matter of decorum. During 8 years of Bush lies, no congressmen stood up and yelled that he was one—and they shouldn’t have. It’s about, I think, having a certain level of respect not for the president but for the office. We have to maintain some standards of behavior, don’t you think?
