Good thing it’s not a tea party
Odd how the real violence from G20 protests is not getting as much play as the non violence from the Tea Party protests.

But of course Komrade! Don’t you realize by now that it’s The People’s right to know only what we think they should know??

Yeah, the cops don’t like to beat up and tear gas rednecks with guns as much as they do young hipppies…who knew??

Wow. That actually is a good point.

Maybe the Tea Party protesters have a better marketing arm (well, except for when it comes to choosing a name).

Some of those “hippies” are anarchists who enjoy throwing rocks around and destroying property. “Armed” has nothing to do with it.

If capitalism is so bad…
How’d the kids manage to get to pissburgh to throw their tantrum? Airline? Bus? Rail? Those are for profit businesses… well, except the .gov run rail.
I’m no fan of globalization as it must bring us down to the rest of the worlds level. I just think picking your battles is a bit more productive. Don’t launch a frontal assault with sticks and stones when you can take them apart in other ways.

As at other G 8 (and now G 20 summits)the global elite always get the very best protection and the benefit of agent provocateurs as a pretext to let the hammer down on those who “peacefully assemble for to petition the Government for a redress of grievances”.
Oh, sorry for those offensive words:
“You need only reflect that one of the best ways to get yourself a reputation
as a dangerous citizen these days is to go about repeating the very phrases
which our founding fathers used in the struggle for independence.”
-Charles A. Beard (1874-1948) American Historian
