I used to belong to a forum that discussed things like this. A very,very few of us recognized the inevitable abuse the Patriot Act would enable. That abuse started immediately upon its passage into law. Yet we few were still vigorously reviled for opposing it. I believe we are getting the government some of us deserve. Of course, some of us don’t, but we are the thinkers and therefore in the small minority.

Yeah, the PA is bad. That is, unless “our party” is in power in which case it is wonderful.
And if that Act is “patriotic” then what are all the others passed every year– unpatriotic? Antipatriotic?
