Maybe they’ll have a production overrun and I’ll be able to pick one up cheap. Either that, or they’ll be used to machine gun private citizens by the thousands and maybe me too. I’m very skeptical about the government buying guns that private citizens have been prohibited from owning since ’86.
Guns are like military aircraft; they’re pretty things until they’re aimed at you. Once the blood starts flowing, they get real ugly, real fast.

“SAW” does not mean “M249,” it means “Squad Automatic Weapon.” It is a role that a weapon fills, not a specific model of weaponry. Technically speaking, the L86 is a SAW.
