guns in Chicago
Kinda weird being here knowing everything in one of my chaecked bags is illegal. Except the flashlight.

Been a while since I’ve flown but forty bucks to check two bags?
Frisco Chief of Police Todd Renshaw:
I will not sign the waiver to allow the purchase of a fully automatic weapon. I am pretty sure the Collin County Sheriff also will not. I’m not sure about the Denton County Sheriff.
Or on the internet.
The latest Threeper v. Prag dust up that I wasn’t aware of is summarized by Joe.
the $60 billion or so given to G.M. and Chrysler is likely to prove a bad investment for taxpayers (which may explain why no one else was rushing to invest in these companies).
And, of course, it may have been illegal.
And, no, not The Man Show:
Heading to Gun Blogger Rendezvous. Light blogging. All posts are pre-loaded. So, if you want to argue with me, I’m not here right now. Leave a message at the beep.
And, if all goes as planned, as you read this, I’ll be on a layover in the people’s republic of Chicago. Getting a dose of hope and change. And probably breakfast.
I let my sister in law sample some dove I had prepared. This conversation takes place:
Her: It tastes kinda gamy.
Me: Well, it is game.
This ad from Advanced Armament Corp is truly awesome.
Also, in the latest Guns Magazine, there is a rather effective ad for Stag Arms. My google fu is weak and I didn’t find a copy on Al Gore’s internets. But it shows a man in his bedroom doorway, obviously on alert, with an AR-15 that has a light mounted on it. In the background is his wife on the phone (presumably calling 911). I like the fact that Stag is pushing AR-15s for home defense.
Trust. Sorry, pointing guns at things you’re not willing to destroy is never a good idea.
If the legislators who passed the law are confused, how can they expect law-abiding citizens to keep up with it. And this is why we will see preemption.
Or why Obama seems to be a more effective campaigner and less effective actually executing specific things. Probably has something to do with the fact his entire career has been centered on getting the next job and not doing the current one. That’s tough when you’re at the top.
Glock gets stimulus money. A whopping $900. Glock actually didn’t. A fed agency did and bought stuff from them. But that’s the headline.
I think Glock was pretty well stimulated once Obama was elected.
I don’t have a problem, I can stop whenever I want.
Tam discusses How many magazines is enough?
We’ve discussed this before. I now no longer have a the Sig, the AK or the 9mm AR. Now, my collection consists of the following:
5 – 6.8 SPC AR magazines
17 – 5.56 AR mags
4 – Glock 30 magazines
8 – 1911 magazines
4 – Ruger 10/22 magazines
2 – P-22 Magazines
I could use some more.

See David Hardy.
Update: In comments, Tam says maybe not.
Looks the folk at the UN want to replace the dollar with something else, since our money’s value is on the decline and no one really wants to buy it anymore.
Kevin is packing up. Mr. C. is on his way.
Folks from the National Shooting Sports Foundation will be there.
I fly out early tomorrow and will be there about lunch time.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
