Holy crap I didn’t need to see that…
Especially when I could use another shotgun…

JayG, check carefully on Gunbroker and GunsAmerica for prices before you commit. The Glock price doesn’t sound too bad, but you need to know which “generation” you are getting, and you need to know which trigger setting you are getting, or you will be back to Mama Glock for parts to change the trigger (you will NOT like a “New York” trigger, I guarantee).
As a bonus, some police retired Glocks will have night sights, if you’re into that. Expect them to NOT be as bright as new ones, though.
As for the shottie, I don’t think much of that price. You can get a new 870 (in a field configuration) for less than $300 on sale. A retired police model might or might not be “Tommy’d up”, but you can guarantee that it will be well used from getting put in an out of a locking shotgun rack in a police cruiser one to three time a day for years. The synthetic stocks will take that better than wood, which will be horrible. Most police shotties used to be 4-rounders, so make sure the capacity fits your needs.

I’m not trying to restart an old war, but is a well-used Remington 870 really worth the same as a new Mossberg 500? My local Gander Mtn has the Mossbergs for $230.

Look everyone knows an AR-Remington 1911 is far superior to a Ak-Mossberg Glock. But I’ll only buy mine in .45, because 9mm is for girls and fags.

That guy is selling genuine police model 870s, which are generally worth a premium over Fudd-edition 870s. I like the weight and safety location of the Mossberg, but an 870 can accommodate a magazine tube extension without changing barrels. Also, a stock 870’s capacity is 5+1.
Is it worth more? I don’t know, I buy autoloaders. But he sold out of a big batch of 3″ magnum police 870s in a month for $265. The market seems to think so.
Also, the G22s are 2nd gen models with night sights. Some people who don’t like the finger grooves on 3rd gen Glocks prefer them. If you don’t need a light rail, they’re just as good as a 3rd generation.

I’ve bought a few guns from Summit. Mark’s a great guy to deal with.
