Looks vulnerable to small arms fire. $5k-$10k for the weapons system and one round of birdshot takes it out. Cool.
I’m working on a large bore, black powder operated, area denial cannon that delivers a less-than-lethal payload of 6mm airsoft BB’s. I expect to bring it in way under Taser’s offering and thereby dominate the less-than-lethal, area denial market.
The way bigger intimidation factor produces a way bigger deterrent effect, because way bigger is way better. The resulting “Confusion Cloud(TM)” of smoke particles that results from actuation of the device ensures that any response from the subjects is likely to be confused and ineffective. The cast iron construction and low-tech ignition system render it invulnerable to small arms fire. Take that, Taser!
They deployed LRADs at town hall meetings in San Diego, so why not.
Makes you wonder what happens when someone dies on that thing. Not that it matters, the police aren’t held accountable for killing people in no knock raids, so why should anyone think they would be held accountable for this stupid device.

It would be interesting to see if it can be used with AC power. That would mean no batteries to run out and could shock indefinitely.
