A first
In Tennessee, a man is arrested for unlawfully carrying in a park. The stories seem to conflict but that man is, basically, fishing in a park with a gun. One side says there was some sort of argument and the other side denies that.
Also, the police wrote the citation incorrectly.
Via Main Street Journal, who calls it mistaken gun carry.

This seems like the perfect opportunity to challenge Tennessee’s, the patron state of shooting stuff, confusing patchwork of no-carry zones under the void for vaguenss doctrine.
Any movement down there to do so?

Markie Marxist sez: “A park! A park! We got him because he was in a park! We Marxists own the parks. We staked them out as our own territory. No private gun ownership allowed there! It’s our turf! Ha! Ha! All your parks are belong to us! We can ban guns in parks because parks are special. Parks are special because we can control them. Since we can control them, they’re special, so we can ban guns there. It’s just common communist sense!”

“fishing in a park with a gun ” ?
Well, no wonder he was arrested. Why would he be
shooting at the fish ?
Participle. Dangle. Etc.

treefroggy, you beat me to it! I thought the same thing! “Wouldn’t it be easier to fish with a fishing pole?” I’ve heard of shooting fish in a barrel, but never in a park. 😉

The fish in that park are Bad Basses, so take a gun.
