Hey, I got one and I like it.
Its lovely. None of the probs
described in the article. But
just like for 1911’s, you have
to be selective about mags
because there are a lot of junk
mags out there…
I’ve found the trick is to lube the devil out of them when you first get it and then work the action manually. Melted hinge grease is great but I’ve used Slip2000 too.
Then take the factory mags and throw them in the trash. Surplus mags from Sarco are the ticket!
Front sight was canted, gas piston was stuck. Stock was soft as butter. The gun was stamped as a “MI”. I don’t think they have to use Roman numerals to differentiate their product from the real thing.
Traded it to my dealer for a used S&W 65 and a case of .308. I still feel kinda bad for taking advantage of him, but he did manage to sell it. I really do feel bad for the guy that ended up with it…

I’ve heard a lot of bad about Kahr’s whole Auto-Ord line.
Certainly never heard of anybody who’s got their M1911A1 replica and liked it. And that’s pretty much the only M1911A1 you can get in this state new.

I bought one a few years ago.

Too bad.
My pre-Kahr Auto-Ordinance M1 Carbine looks good and performs flawlessly.
It looks like Kahr really crapped it up hard once they took it over.
