Guns in Restaurants

Linoge reports that the Tomato Head (makers of crappy pizza that hippies like) has posted a no carry sign. I walked by the Tomato Head in Maryville the other day and didn’t notice a sign. Interestingly, they’re probably one of the first businesses to actually get the sign to comply with the law.

Mirage, the Hookah bar has one too…funny, because you couldn’t carry in there anyway–they allow smoking indoors.

Anonymous: That was in the original bill, but didn’t make it to the final version.

Sunspot on campus has a non-binding sign posted. Shame really. It’s the thought that counts, after all. Wonder if all the Aubrey’s restaurants and By the Tracks Bistro are like that (same parent company).

When I was last at Aubrey’s in Maryville, they had no sign.

This sign was tucked away in the vestibule, like I said, and was not at all visible from outside the restaurant (being mounted on the side wall does that, I suppose). Not sure if it is a “corporate” policy with them, but I dropped their owner a snailmail letter, so I guess we might see.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
