A newspaper published a letter that advocated killing hunters. Now, I expect people to have such bone-headed ideas. I don’t expect a newspaper to publish stuff like that.

Paul, I thought the same, but say they attack you, and you defend yourself. How will a rag such as this portray it?

Its Lose/Lose with these people. Their sheer insanity will skew every part of it, every bit of information.

This letter does make it more likely that anyone out protesting against hunting during the season, say by walking around a good hunting spot wearing cowbells and chanting “Kumbaya,” will be considered a threat to their safety by any hunters in the area.
Good work, letter writing fool! You just increased the risk to those on your side!

I thought things like that were a no-no under some sort of “fighting words” exception to free speech.
Have the local police paid this potentially dangerous nut a visit yet? If any hunters are injured from outsiders (non-hunting accidents) can the paper/editors now face some liability for advocating murder?
At least the murder advocate presents a wonderful reason why CCW in the wilderness should be promoted.
