The Cult Takes a Hit
Guess I’ll buy that F150 after all.
So, it’s looking like the global warming crowd has been a bunch of very naughty boys. Someone hacked their computers and released some unflattering things about them. If this stuff is true, then it shows a pattern of:
Suppressing dissent by attacking the unbelievers.
Using peer review for political reasons
Threats of violence against heretics err dissenters.
Data manipulation of keeping some stuff private they don’t want out. And manipulating it to make the point they want.
Well, all that and it could be a scam that’s cost trillions. Here’s a rundown. Here’s another.
And you can get the data here.
The. Science. Is. Proven.

Don’t forget the emails about “how to dodge a FOIA request”.
I haven’t heard much at all from the “Sunspot Existence Deniers”, but here’s one that cherry picks one email and makes the argument that the high priests of climatology book-cooking were just speaking in code-words or something.

One thing to keep in mind about the FOI requests, some of that data was subject to IP laws & agreements. The research that generated the data was paid for by corporate interests and they were not interested in releasing it to the general public.
IMHO, if such data is being used to justify radical shifts in social, tax, and economic policy across the globe, then such data should be public.

How dare you question Holy Science!

Another socialist attempt to rule the rule foiled. Another cult religion exposed.

Unc, the response to revelations that data was massaged (“brutally beaten” would be more accurate), methods were hidden to prevent discovery of malfeasance, non-believers were systematically attacked, and accepted scientific standards were discarded or “adjusted” to get the desired results matter not at all to true believers.
C’mon, you’ve heard it before, you know you’re gonna hear it this time.
“Fake but accurate”
I’m getting to the point where I think some of these folks should be encouraged to play in traffic.

Encouraged? I chase them down.

Yeah, about that.

Oddly nothing there indicates non controversy other than chuck saying so.

Charles used to be a pretty sane guy.

Where are all the name-calling neurotic shrieking global warming religionists who accused everyone who pointed out this fraud early on? I don’t hear them, I can’t find where to read them, no I’m not talking about the people with a vested interest in the success of the fraud, I’m talking about the mouth-foaming vilifiers who attacked the characters of everyone who saw the bunco game for what it was and said so right here. Where oh, where, are you?

In fairness, metulj was not the only idiot. He had plenty of company. Maybe they’re all nappy time, now?

In fairness, metulj was not the only idiot.
We all make mistakes.
But metulj still believes. I don’t know how that can be explained.
One thing to make a mistake. It’s another thing to stick with it.
