I didn’t know they were in my county
I’d heard of a company called Tennessee Guns International on a few gun boards. Never thought much of it but recently realized they’re located in my county of residence. And, apparently, the feds are looking into them as part of an audit of some sort:
An East Tennessee gun-maker and importer is facing a federal investigation.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms has seized several small truckloads of materials — including gun parts–from Tennessee Guns International, or T.G.I., of Blount County.
A TGI spokesperson will confirm only that federal agents took the materials as part of a routine audit required of all licensed gun importers, manufacturers, and re-sellers.
“TGI is cooperating fully,” says sales manager Ryan Patrick.
Update: Tam is familiar with TGI and relays some info.
Update 2: Folks at arfcom say it’s a routine audit and been going on for a month.

Ummm, that’s not an audit.
Potential big, big trouble for TGI and CCA.

Huh?
What the hell does CCA have to do with it? Are you privy to something I don’t know?
They went and interviewed J.P. because he makes himself available for quotes on gun stories.

Potential trouble for anyone doing business with TGI.
Let’s hope this “routine audit” is really just an audit.

TGI usually only sells direct to wholesalers. IIRC, they’re a Type 08 SOT.
I’d bought some “milsurps” (Radom Toks, Finn Lugers, Mosins, Yugo SKS’s, etc.) in small lots from them back in the day, but I don’t know if anyone there is buying anything direct from them currently.
