Guns on mass transit
Been one year since Georgia passed a law allowing handgun carry on mass transit systems. Calls for blood in the street were made. But an odd thing happened: Homicides went from two to zero.

Two to zero is nice, but it wouldn’t surprise me if they often had years without homicides law or no law. More significant is the reduction in the robbery rate and total crime rate, both of which have dropped by over 25% since the new law passed.

You’d think the antis would be bright enough to stop hollering this prediction since it never comes true.
then again, most of them are fairly stupid…

Sorry Weer’d, nothing fair about being that stupid. Let’s just say they are very stupid.

To be fair, Jeff, both ’06 and ’07 had zero murders. Looks like ’08 was something of an outlier.
However, I definitely agree about the significance of the decrease in other crimes (though other-other crimes increased slightly between ’08 and now).
