While I’d normally be against such hypocrisy, it looks like Mr. Darwin’s law of natural selection is going to be enforced in this particular situation.

It’s okay as anyone he kills due to his inattention will be justified since his actions are within policy.

I have a cop friend. Once we got into discussion about speeding. He argued that the speed laws, especially in neighborhoods, were necessary since a child could run out and I’d never had to process an accident scene so I didn’t understand. I asked if he would ticket a police officer for speeding in a neighborhood. He became evasive. Especially after I pointed out police-owned cars were just as hard as civilian cars and a police officer should be even more aware of the dangers of speeding. You know, given they have to experience the results of accidents and all.
