Friday Music Post
As promised in the last music post, this week is kids’ songs. One of the things about kids is that you get exposed to all kinds of music. A lot is bad but a lot is good too. We’ll talk about the good stuff. And, of course, you get to expose your kids to music as well. It used to be a tradition that every night the family would watch Jack’s Big Music Show. It’s a great show with good music. Like Jerry Lawson & Talk of the Town:
And more
And Music for Aardvarks:
It’s campy kids’ music but it’s good. Of course, I also expose my kids to my music. Junior currently loves She Don’t Use Jelly by Flaming Lips and sings along to every word. Which is funny:
Also, I’ve always liked They Might Be Giants. My kids like their songs too and sing a long to almost all of them. Because of my kids, I discovered there were a lot cartoons that used TMBG songs, such as Tiny Toons:
And, of course, TMBG do a lot of TeeVee themes.
Listening and singing along to music with your kids is probably one of the funnest things to do ever.

Thank you so much for sharing my husband’s music ! We all had a ball filming it. I hope you’ll explore his newest CD with Talk of The Town – It’s his masterpiece!
In Harmony,

Interesting. I didn’t realize that Ben Folds was doing a cover when he recorded that. I look forward to getting home so I can hear how the original sounds.
