Seems rather silly, as even before Climate-not-really-a-gate, the MWP wasn’t problematic for AGW theory anyway. More fodder for people dumb enough to think that a few poorly considered actions by folks tired of disingenuous political rants somehow negates a scientific consensus.
The consensus is overstated. And that list of a few poorly considered actions seems to be growing daily. That leads reasonable people to believe there is a concerted effort to place politics over science. And that is what’s happening.
Hmm – my impression is that the MWP was VERY problematic for the AGW folks – if it wasn’t, why did they spend so much time working to conceal it?
The more I read about the database manipulations and “fuzzy math” being used by the warmists, the more convinced I am that that “consensus” is nothing more than group-think and a consequence of political fiddling (via the money – always follow the money..)
Regardless of how this plays out, the real loser is all of this is going to be Science itself – it will take a generation before people will be willing to believe that scientific knowledge and discoveries are free of political/economic taint.
