I found out about the Henrys from my parents, who saw the television ads for them (the ads air mostly on stations serving rural areas, from what I’ve heard). After handling a couple of Henrys, I bought a Lever Octagon Frontier levergun in .22 LR a couple of months ago. Excellent fit and finish, butter smooth action, very accurate and solid. No plastic to be found on it…which, alas, is more than you can say for the .22s Ruger and Marlin are turning out these days.
Actually, I ended up buying two of the Lever Octagons. My dad got the other as an early Christmas present; it was the only way I could get him to stop drooling over mine… 😉
Now I’m wanting a Big Boy in either .38/.357 or .44 Mag/Spl. I’ve got a couple of new-model flattopped Ruger Blackhawks that are just crying out for a companion levergun…
Lovely things to look at,, unfortunately,, as much as I drool, and want,, I am so poor,, even the mice snub me. Butt I do appreciate me some gun porn. Thanks

Apparently, they are advertising them also. I saw a TV commercial for Henry Rifles on RTN last night.

I’m still waiting for Henry to be the first one to chamber a levergun in .327 Federal Magnum. It will sell like hotcakes when they do one.
