And the sooner some people learn that screaming “racist” every time something does not go to suit them is no substitute for reasoned discourse, the sooner we can all get back to the business of getting along.
I have been accused of being racist, and by today’s standards, I am. I expect the standards of decorum, lawfulness, consideration, humanity, morality, and courtesy to be attainable by all peoples. Whenever I comment about that, I am immediately informed by certain persons of what they assume are differenct ethnicities from mine, that to do so is racist.
Now for them to believe the charge, they must hold the belief that certain ethnicities are not capable of maintaining the standards of the above mentioned virtues. And further, that for me to expect it is racist. Funny how that works isn’t it. If one deems others capable he is a racist, while those who jump to the defense of others who fall below standard behavior as expecting too much of them in their incapacity.
Makes one wonder if the word really means what they think it means, doesn’t it?

Racism, however, is still alive. What part of “liberty and justice for all” do people disagree with?
E pluribus unum.

They must rhyme. I usually see it spelled “facist.”
Maybe there’s a future for “Rascism.”
