His only consistent position

Harold Ford’s constant flip-flopping since he’s now trying to be a senator in New Yawk Citeh instead of representing us country bumpkins with our guns and God and stuff is funny. From pro-life to pro-choice. From pro-gun to pro-gun-control. The only constant is that Harold Ford is pro-Harold Ford.

Will they be making a tactical ponytail holder?

Steven Seagal at SHOT: to promote a new line of “Seagal Tactical Gear” as well as a series of new rifles and other military and police products

Really?

Breaking the stigma of the AR-15: Looking at NSSF’s campaign to educate folks and the press about evil black rifles.

Of note is that this article appears on ESPN. No, really.

AAC at SHOT

Advanced Armament is at SHOT, posting some pics. Steve has a lot of pics, mostly of Mers’ sweater vest. And AAC also had a party and a band played. And that band was midgets doing KISS songs. Video here.

I question the target

In Venezuela, state owned news outlets are reporting that the Haitian earthquake may have been caused by the US military and their sooper seekrit weapons of evil. Because, you know, if the US was going to send an earthquake to a country, they’d pick Haiti first.

Brown and gun rights

Like me, David is rather meh about it.

Security Theater

Not so much theater as big brother. Seems that the TSA Customs can now take files off your computer or phone and send them to third parties. With no oversight. Great.

Don’t fear the cooties

Cindy McCain joins campaign in favor of gay marriage. Odd how when politicians with Rs after their name stop running for office, they suddenly warm up to gay marriage. Cheney, Olson, and others.

I wonder if Obama will improve on gay rights after he’s no longer in office? After all, the SF mayor says he’s Inexcusable on Gay Rights.

Obama seems to be letting most folks down.

On those SHOT arrests

The American Rifleman has more.

On the Brady’s effectiveness

Based on a newspaper item, they’re out of their league.

Also, mentioned yesterday that the Brady Campaign endorsed Coakley. Kinda funny. But kaveman points out that their coveted endorsement isn’t even listed on Coakley’s list of endorsements.

Now, where do I put this fork?

Glenn Beck and a gun at the airport

Apparently, he travels with guns. And the airport person freaks out then the airline loses the gun.

I hope that Mr. Beck, while traveling, was just passing through and is protected under the FOPA of ’86. Otherwise, possessing an unregistered gun in NYC is unlawful.

Update: Readers say he lives in NY. So, he probably has a permit.

Gun Show Controversy in Austin

Not sure all the details yet but it seems that ATF and the local PD told a gun show operator that if he allowed private transfers that didn’t go through a dealer that he’d be arrested/harassed based on nuisance laws. Nemerov has a look at the issue and thinks both sides are overreacting a bit. Sebastian thinks preemption might come into effect here.

Tea Bags: They taste like sour grapes

I love watching Keith Olberman come unglued. I mean, not like the glue was very tight but still:

In short, in Scott Brown we have an irresponsible, homophobic, racist, reactionary, ex-nude model, teabagging supporter of violence against women and against politicians with whom he disagrees.

Uh uh.

More SHOT

Videos and tweets rounded up.

Well, OK

Harold Ford, Jr. seems to be getting more coverage for thinking about running in NY than he did actually running in TN.

NSSF on Shot

Some pressers by the fine folks who put the event on.

Dewey Beats Truman?

More like testing the online tool. And wishful thinking.

Brady not a fan of Brown

The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Ownership is not a fan of Scott Brown, which partially makes Brown OK in my book. Claiming he may support national concealed carry:

Paul Helmke, President of the Brady Campaign, said that a Brown victory could lead to passage of federal legislation that would force Massachusetts to allow out-of-state residents to carry loaded, hidden handguns in the state. This would include states with much weaker concealed carry laws like Florida, Louisiana, Alabama and Alaska. Currently, no out-of-state residents are allowed to carry guns in Massachusetts.

They endorsed Coakley.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
