Seen on the internets

It never occurred to me that turtles would eat birds. Really stupid birds:

I hear there’s an election?

In this corner, we have the underdog who has been surging in the polls. And in the other corner, we have an institutional same-old, same old democrat trying to secure a seat held by Kennedy for 40 years.

To be totally partisan for a moment, I don’t like either party having filibuster proof numbers. And that went for the Rs too. So, I hope that Brown is surging by more than ACORN is cheating.

Do what we say or we shall taunt you with Microsoft Publisher and graphics found on the internet

The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Ownership is a bunch of sad clowns because the guy they endorsed for president hasn’t banned all guns yet. They even gave him a report card that is all Fs that you can see here.

Of course, given how Brady has given up ‘grades’ for ‘ranks’, I wonder how they ‘rank’ Obama.

Worth noting that if the Brady Camp cannot get traction on the issue with a politician who is a career gun banner, then the gun control movement is probably in trouble.

Comparative Bullet Lead Analysis

Turns out, it’s kinda bogus:

Three people convicted of murder have been released from prison because their cases were tainted by a now discredited theory that bullets found at a crime scene could be linked to bullets found in possession of suspects.

ABC gets from the internet

Just like bloggers do. Only bloggers don’t complain about it. Well, except this time. But it’s not policy. And we definitely don’t threaten to sue over it. Mostly.

Noted yesterday that ABC news considered “read it on the internet” to a “News investigation”. Looks like Bob noticed too.

Good for smiting

Mentioned how trijicon had some bible verses on their products. Well, ABC news notices:

Coded references to New Testament Bible passages about Jesus Christ are inscribed on high-powered rifle sights provided to the United States military by a Michigan company, an ABC News investigation has found.

And by “ABC News investigation” they mean “ABC News found it on the internet”.

ABC says it goes against the military rules on proselytizing.

Good question

Or see what gun nuts have to deal with?

Can the Magpul AFG be used on a pistol? Current ATF ‘guidance’ is that a vertical forward grip makes a pistol and Any Other Weapon, subject to NFA laws and taxes and such like a machine gun. A couple of courts have told ATF that they’re full of it. Now, the Magpul Angled ForeGrip isn’t exactly vertical.

Facts and narrative

The NYT is crapping its pretty little panties:

The nation’s police chiefs are finding an alarming increase in criminals’ use of assault weapons — the high-powered battlefield rifles that used to be banned, back when the federal government showed greater concern for public safety. The 10-year ban expired in 2004, despite the vows of presidential nominees from both parties to fight for renewal. Congress hasn’t mustered the guts to try, preferring to roll over for the gun lobby.

Yet crime and police gun deaths are down?

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
