The phrase, “A day late and a dollar short,” doesn’t quite capture the urgent sense of imminent doom on that thread.
The best part, after “OMG TEOTWAWKI WTF!” for those who just now noticed this issue, is that it comes with a side dish of “I don’t get it – 67 Senators (and therefore 27 or more Democrats – yes, DEMS!!) and Obama his own self did this to us!”
The thought that there might be a reason, any reason at all, a reason that makes the change in Park regulations perhaps, just maybe, sort of a good thing, is completely absent. There is no possibility of thinking about the issue, because OMG GUNS ARE BAD!
If the National Park carry keeps a lot of libpansies out of the Parks then I consider that to be a fringe benefit. Maybe I’ll be able to visit Yellowstone and Grand Teton this summer without being up to my armpits in treehuggers.

The funny thing is it was the big O himself that signed this.
It was dog tagged onto some other bill last year (I’m thinking it was the credit card thing).
Woot!
