I have to wonder that since I did not have the dna tests they say will potentially save the children yet I am still kicking. Lots of BS is the answer. Sure I understand testing for genetic diseases yadayada but why store it beyond the test date? It is not like the dna is going to suddenly change and the outcome be different. I have noticed a trend with anything the government does to help us comes back to bite us in the ass. When is the last time the government actually did something that made your life better. Ever? These databases will be abused by the government/law enforcement that is no question. The politicians who tell you different are the same ones who have made this country barely tolerable to live in with hints of becoming a third world country abounding.
J.Smith, think of all the harmful uses for such a database. Then see how they could apply to economic concerns of health care providers. Of course, at the expense of the individual. then think about who controls these data bases and how they will be used if or when we are forced into Universal Health Care (government).
Then when you hear or read the title Board of Efficient Application of Health Care Assets, think of “death panel”.
