Bill O’Reilly: Congress, president are extremists
One more reason not to like this bonehead.
O’Reilly says that the .gov should confiscate guns during an emergency. To think otherwise is extreme. So, those extremists in the US legislature who passed a law forbidding that are extremists. Hell, even Barack Obama voted for that bill.

News flash: Bill O’Reilly is extremely stupid
February 19th, 2010 at 11:15 am
Stupid? Not really, more like what Ann Coulter says of him that he deliberately seeks to look like a moderate. Bill will always take a position in between what he views as the extremes in order to look the bigger man.

He always maintains he is no conservative, after all. He should stick with flafels and interns.

A liberal who favors gun control is someone willing to sacrifice your freedom on the altar of feel good social-engineering efforts, ie “inner city youths with quit killing each other over drug debts and turf wars if there just weren’t any guns around”.
A neocon (and if you believe his pathetic sales effort at convincing us he’s not a dyed in the wool big govt neocon…you’re as dumb as he is) like BOR that favors gun control is a fascist.
February 19th, 2010 at 1:21 pm
In other words…unlike the neolibs who simply don’t care about freedom and are openly willing to admit as much…BOR talks all day about loving freedom, but really only cares about the freedoms HE LIKES. The nationstate he’s trying to build has an a la carte approach to personal freedoms, and you can tell by getting one listen to the dude what would become of you if he had his way and you preferred a freedom he doesn’t think is important.

Just like taking away fire extinguishers when fire threatens…

I am just shocked.

O’Reilly is a limousine Republican.
I don’t watch him or Geraldo on Fox …
February 19th, 2010 at 6:01 pm
Yep, saw that clip last night. Amazing, but not surprising. Bill never gets the gun issues right, and obviously doesn’t even try. His rolling eyes and pompous posturing try to convey he is reasonable and thoughtful, but the guy he interviewed from Oath Keepers had it right: Police confiscated guns from law-abiding citizens in New Orleans because of WEATHER. For Bill not to see the point in that demonstrates that he never will.
February 19th, 2010 at 6:50 pm
Yeah, that’s about the final nail in O’Reilly’s coffin, as far as I’m concerned. “The police had lost control of the situation”, and so gun control is an acceptable tactic?? YHGTBSM. Tell me, Billy…when the f*ck are you gonna need your gun MORE than when the police ACKNOWLEDGE that they CAN’T HELP YOU?
Wotta f*ckin bonehead.

“Bill will always take a position in between what he views as the extremes in order to look the bigger man.”
Bingo. Bigger and way smarter. O’Reilly is a shmuck, thoughbeit a popular shmuck. I just hope no one’s surprized at this.
I think the Oath Keepers rep could have done better. He acted as though he’d been stunned, which tells me he didn’t know much about O’Reilly going in.

Harvard educated New Yorker whose first job was as a high school teacher in South Florida.
That’s all you need to know to understand (and dislike) Bill.

O’Reilly is not a conservative.
He is not a neo-con.
He is not a moderate.
He is not a liberal.
He is not a fascist.
He is a populist — his “principles” are governed by emotional response. Convince him that “It’s for the good of the people”, and he’ll support ANYTHING.
(A liberal will let his OBJECTIVES be governed by emotional response; but generally has CHOSEN their principles and holds them despite emotion. Exactly the opposite of O’Reilly’s make up.)
