As if millions of hippies suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced.
National Park carry goes into effect today.

So, when can we expect the “blood bath” to begin, just like in “the old west”?

Not sure if there’s “millions” left, at least, still coherent.

Great! I can now carry in Glacier and Yellowstone without the worry of getting tossed in jail.

And we can carry on the Blue Ridge Parkway now! Before if you wanted to use the parkway as a shortcut between places in Asheville NC (it’s actually very convenient) you couldn’t have your gun with you. Now that’s fixed!

Still no widespread outbreak of violence…It’s almost 5:00 p.m. est.

They have really been freaking out here, as if people who CAN’T get a CCW for any reason suddenly somehow could – and as if anyone would carry when they go dog-walking along the marina out at Ft. Mason – who knew we had so many National MICRO Parks in this vicinity?

I expect we will awake in the morn
with great fear and sadness
revealed in gunfire madness
our brothers and sister shorn
from this travel of peace and light
into the bloody awful passing
from day into murdered night
for the guns in parks amassing
ha’ caused me to tremble and quake
and foreswear conversation to take
with those who be armed and able
to keep death from our park table
unless of course it be snowflake
who flee at talk and verily shake.

I’ve always been able to carry in a National Park — the Buffalo National River in Arkansas has been a National Park for about 40 years. You can carry guns AND hunt in the park.
And guess what? There has been no blood-bath in the park. And animals are as plentiful as ever.

Who said I DIDN’T carry while traveling through a park? They didn’t ask, I didn’t tell. See? DADT can work for you.
