I found this new discovery interesting, basically a high efficiency way to use sunlight to produce hydrogen. But the most interesting part was that commenters want outside confirmation since the research is out of the University of East Anglia. For legitimate researchers in all fields, there are now a few universities you might want to avoid.

Climategate isn’t a big story because the people selling it have serious credibility issues. Sure it sells well in the UK where they still have competition in media markets leading to a hype arms race…but it seems here the media isn’t too interested in parroting the bullshit propagated by denialist shills. If you’re going to argue that just about every major physical sciences body in the world is fabricating something, you probably shouldn’t be a notorious fabricator yourself.
Which would also suggest that if you value your intellectual honesty…you probably shouldn’t blindly pass along what serial fabricators have to offer either. Just sayin.

While the talking heads are busy pimping bullshit and bloggers like our host seem to unfortunately enjoy passing the bullshit along uncritically…
…actual scientists are still on board with scientific reality.

Hmm…CEI, George Will, and the conservosphere vs. SCIENTISTS. CEI, George Will, and the conservosphere vs. SCIENTISTS….
Geeze, however will a thinking person decide who to side with?
Durrr…..

The science is good, but not really because the British tabloids aren’t on board yet! Or George Will!
Sorry, it’s a climate thread, so I have to plug myself and suggest that Will, Charlie Martin, and others of that ilk are victims of the Dunning-Kruger effect.
