McIntyre isn’t a scientist. She didn’t even get that right.
You know how it sucks when media outlets don’t do any research and get basic facts wrong and warn us of the dangers of fully automatic revolvers and assault shotguns that fire 600rds a minute?
Good job Sebastian, you have debunked the entire article by pointing out an error that has nothing to do with the point of the article. The facts behind the article is the reason that this is being pushed so hard is that there are trillions of dollars to be made, do you really think that if it was actually for the betterment of mankind the folks pushing it would have to lie, cheat and plan to steal to try to ge us to buy into it? No, they would say, “hey guys, here is our problem, what are some solutions?”. Instead we are called “flat earthers” and ridiculed for asking for the unadulterated proof.
Just doing the same thing you guys do when you blather about Al Gore’s house and his earthfucking jet and assume that work done by 1000s and 1000s of scientists is suddenly moot because of some unrelated uncouth sounding emails.
In any event, what that article should start hinting to you in so uncertain terms is that there’s a reason there’s not as much money to be made pushing the denialist agenda–even some of the vested carbon producing interests have thrown in the towel on funding CEI style rubbish. Not a lot of money being made pimping the idea that HIV doesn’t cause AIDS or that dinosaurs and humans were on the earth at the same time.
It looks like you took over the title of Capt. Ad Hominem, good job. Uncouth sounding emails? Emails that talk about flat out lying to people to push an agenda are “uncouth sounding”? I call that lying, and seeing as the lying is in support of an agenda that will tax and regulate every aspect of our life, I call that criminal. Uncouth sounding…come on.
what a maroon you are. it’s made up. fiction. the newest way for commies and asshats to try and run your life for you- “for the common good” and all that.
Your thinly veiled attempt to link anyone who disagrees with man made global warming, in this case me, with people who think that man and dinosaurs shared the earth pretty easily falls into an add hominem attack
Sebastian-PGP, Why all the focus on carbon when a much more potent greenhouse gas is water vapor? Where’s the water vapor cap-and-trade scheme? Probably because it’s too hard to sell a fairy tale about man-made water vapor output causing warming?
Why do natural systems tend to stabilize, but global warming theory is based on a tipping point in carbon concentrations that causes runaway heating? Where’s the equation that shows us what level of carbon (and other factors) causes runaway growth? Why would growth be runaway? What is the self-reinforcing mechanism that causes heat to cause more heat, or heat to cause carbon that causes more heat, or whatever?
Your argument for man-caused (or Mann-caused) global warming still comes down to ‘these scientists say so, and I like what they say, so I believe them’. Build a better case and stop deriding every skeptic as irrational. Uncle’s commenters deserve better treatment than that.

Not sure why it’s any different on this issue.

PGP, do we need to chip in for a Valium prescription for you?
Seems like every study you rely on is broke back as of now.

Seeing as your attachment to reality is pretty tenuous, maybe we can get a group discount when we get you those schizo meds. Studies?
At least try to make sense, Capt Ad Hominem.

The only lies were those told by the people who took the emails out of context to suggest they mean what they don’t mean.
And I’m gathering you’re not too familiar with what ad hominem means.

Sebastian, McIntyre is doing more real science than the Hockey Stick Team.

And on a much more important note, Joanne Nova takes a nice picture.
