Somebody has to do it. We (that’s us Americans) basically are letting murderous drug cartels run wild on our southern border, even putting Border Patrol agents who shoot drug runners in prison.
1) What would be the legal situation regarding shooting at it. Surely firing on foreign military aircraft invading our airspace would be justified legally? (though perhaps stupid in this case)
2) Now americans have an inkling of what it’s like for foreigners on whose soil we have hundreds of military bases. I’m not saying we should withdraw from everywhere, but Americans who haven’t been abroad and seen/visited overseas bases have a hard time understanding what it’s really like to have foreign military on your own soil.
What would be the legal situation shooting it? I don’t know what Obama would do, but Bush’s appointee, Johnny Sutton, would try to send you to prison forever. Don’t mess with the drug trade. It feeds a lot of families and makes a lot of people rich. You all who are caught in the crossfire are just regrettable, collateral losses. Free market, ok?
“What would be the legal situation regarding shooting at it.”
Ummm, that would be Attempted Murder which, even in Tejas, is illegal.
However, we don’t have to worry as this allegedly happened in Texas and I wouldn’t believe a Texan if he told me the sun were to rise in the east. It didn’t happen just some bullshit story like they tell down there.

And they say that we don’t need .50s. I can’t think of a better use, except maybe those damned wind farms.

open fire?

Our government facilitates both the drug trade and illegal immigration by refusing to defend the southern border.
Of course once the drugs are in the country heavily armed government agents kick down doors in the middle of the night looking for it.
Call it “job security”. That’s something most of us don’t have.

If it’s hovering, hell, even I could hit it. Just remember, folks, yer piece throws high when shooting upwards.
