Rights: real and imaginary

You have a right to be required to purchase goods and services.

Meanwhile, a proposal:

So the current administration has deemed a health-care a right and issued a mandate that each and every person must exercise that right under penalty of law.

Given that, I have a proposal. Everyone must go buy a gun. Each and every person must spend their own hard-earned money to exercise their right to keep and bear arms.

LawDog on a proposed amendment to stop such silliness.

Talk CRIMINAL STUPIDITY; I work in the courts and have long advocated for a catch all statute for criminal stupidity, we often find things we KNOW have to be illegal but sometimes it is hard to classify certain things and find the right statute to charge them under. That being said, this piece of legislation(if you want to call it that, you dont want to know what I call it) fits into this paradigm, CRIMINAL STUPIDITY! Hey POLITICO, I have this DOG TURD HERE AND YOU NEED ONE SO I AM GOING TO PUSH FORWARD LEGISLATION TO MAKE YOU BUY IT! I KNOW YOU DONT WANT IT OR NEED IT BUT IM GONNA MAKE YOU BUY IT ANYWAY! I dont know how the rest of you feel about this , but I suspect I can figure it out. My take on this is simple. WHEN HELL FREEZES OVER! I dont need it, want and Im not paying for it. They put in that part about “non compliance” for people like me because I WONT go there. Im the guy you will see on the news after the shoot out being hauled away in a BODY BAG. I will not have this DICTATED to me and I WILL NOT comply. BUY MORE AMMO

Health care protection DEMANDS it. Increased gun ownership lessens the crime rate, so, you must buy a gun to decrease our collective costs. But you can only buy the special guns that Congress approves. From HK.

Article one section 8 of the constitution would give congress the power to make everyone buy a gun, under the militia clauses.

  4. Ron W Says:

To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress; –Article I, Section 8.16, U.S. Constitution

bob dole, No, Congress only has power “for governing such part of” the militia “as may be EMPLOYED in the service of the United States.”

One can either exercise or choose to waive the RKBA or any other right.
