I was in Vegas a few weeks back with a bunch of rifles and some friends. We drove up there and… range closed due to high winds. We walked around the facility a bit as tumbleweed blew by. Thumbs way up. Looks great.
Someone needs to tell that loony liberal that REAL shotguns dont have bolt actions.
There are a lot of bolt-action shotguns out there, usually with a rifled barrel and designed for slug hunting. Judging by the tube magazine of the gun in the photo, which appears capable of holding 12 or 20 gauge shells easily, that is one of them.
Not sure why you’d want one in Nevada, though. Guns like that are usually used for hunting deer in states that ban hunting with a center fire rifle, and are only accurate to maybe 200 yards; Nevada is not one of those states, and with few trees, long range shots are not uncommon. Perhaps it’s a family heirloom. Or Reid bought it as an election prop.
Wayne La Pierre was at the August 2009 sham opening! Waste of tax dollars!! BUY AMMO!!!
Sometimes you like to bust out the old stuff: “RML should not have waggled his Savage Model 28 around at the opening because a *real* enthusiast would have brought a ___________.” If Kyl, McCain, etc had the bolt action shotgun, they would have been praised for their individualistic taste in firearms, with some noting the birth of a new trend to go bolt action for turkey.

The Mossberg .410 is a bolt-action. I suppose there are others out there, but why?

What, you guys don’t like freedom of choice? Besides, I’m a liberal and we don’t claim him either.
