@Seb…ally, I think the resentment may flow the other way. The climatologists sweated through grad school and tenure boards, and these lowly meteorologists with nothing but a BS get to be on TV every day. There are lots of people in academia who carry a sense of entitlement, like they are nobility or something, because they are a self-styled elite. I think there’s less of that attitude when the person’s academic subject is more tied to real-world results. The English professors I have known tended to be full of themselves, while the science, engineering, and math profs were just regular folks. I see climatologists as disconnected from realityh because they are focused on unvalidated computer models and ‘corrected’ data rather than real world stuff. Meteorologists deal with weather daily.

I noted the “errors” in the data as opposed to the actual lies in the data. Funny how that works, isn’t it? When facts don’t bear out the data submitted and then it is discovered that the “scientists” knew that all along but “adjusted” the facts, it is an error.
