The Mrs. just called to tell me that you can use your Kroger card at Shell Stations and save $0.30 per gallon of gas.

Reading the article, “up to $0.30 per gallon” would sound a bit more accurate. And unless you are in Knoxville, TN, it sounds like $0.10 per gallon would be the most accurate.

The discount varies with how much you spend at Kroger.
I got a $0.35 discount on my way to the Indy blogmeet.
As far as I can tell.
If you have a Kroger plus card you get ten cents off for each $100 spent using the card.
If you have a Kroger Credit Card you start at $0.15 off and build up the discount the more you spend.

Over here in Richmond, you can get up to $1.00 off, contingent upon the points you earn. Since I shop there anyway…..

They do that here at the Fred Meyer Fuel Stops (FM being a Kroger brand these days).
($.10/gal off per gas transaction, one gas transaction worth of discount per $100 spent. Or $.03 off for using your FM/Kroger ID Card Thing even without purchases.)
Not at local Shells… yet.
