I grew up on a farm and amongst the other animals were a few geese. One of which we referred to as our watch goose because he hung out in the front yard and chased away unwanted visitors, at least until the fool thing got it in his head to bite my dad. For those of you who laugh, a goose can REALLY bite and left a softball size knot on my dad’s calf biting through thick rubber barn boots.
Needless to say, we had goose that year for thanksgiving.
I knew of several farmers that got crushed by a bull they trusted. We had one that did not know the meaning of fence. When he caught a whiff, off he would go.
Personally I think a nice heifer is better eating, but if one of mine got froggy, minced meat he would be.

There’s a lesson in there somewhere…if you’re a bull. Namely, mind thy temper if higher mammals with firearms are around.

I read once that the most dangerous mammal in North America is the domesticated bull.
