And, of course, MA’s wonderfully effective gun laws mean they get charged with three offenses for the price of one! (possession of a large capacity firearm, possession of a firearm without a license, and possession of ammunition without a firearms identification card)
Back when I was first interested in guns, I kept my mouth shut a lot around gun store displays that listed both .380 ACP and .38 Special and 9mm, which were supposedly all 0.357″ in diameter, which was another caliber, only Magnum-ized. Then I heard about 38S&W and 38-40 and had to read more to figure them out. I was pretty well informed when the .357 Sig round became available, and the first time I heard one fired off at my local range I was impressed with its ability to make everyone on line jump in surprise, despite their ear protection.
22 Short, 22 Long, 22 Long Rifle, CB caps, and blanks for starter pistols took a few minutes to figure out, too, but not as long as how to reassemble my Ruger Mark II pistol.
Then when Glock made a 9×19 caliber Model 19, I was happy, as I could link the model to the caliber. I like mine a lot. I still had to think about how many rounds the magazines held, and while I could use a Model 17 mag in a Model 19, the reverse was impossible.
Glock 22 & 23 in 40 (or For-tay!) wasn’t impossible to remember, but then the minis started appearing, with no link of model to caliber.
When a Glock Model 40 is released, I hope it is a slimline ultracompact in .357 Sig, just to be perverse.
And, of course, MA’s wonderfully effective gun laws mean they get charged with three offenses for the price of one! (possession of a large capacity firearm, possession of a firearm without a license, and possession of ammunition without a firearms identification card)”
…and them promptly turned loose on the street with a slight redness to their wrists.
“Bad BAD little gangsters! Don’t you do that EVER again!”
When a Glock Model 40 is released, I hope it is a slimline ultracompact in .357 Sig,
In a perfect world, the Glock 40 will be a .22, just like the 22 is a .40. The possibility for “Who’s On First?” antics at gun counters would be teh awesomeness incarnate.
Oh, I have a .34 Glock in the safe. Right next to the AK-15 and the semi-auto Marlin lever-action. And I guarantee I could talk one of our local TV airheads into quoting the above. Since, after all, the last time I was interviewed on a firearms matter, the reporterette insisted on referring to me as a “firearms expert”. Gotta have those experts. Apparently “citizen with an informed opinion” is too nuanced a term for the media.

I wonder what it was. Maybe it was a Glock 34?

I wonder if that’s made in the same factory as the .28 caliber glock knockoff in “The Dark Knight”?

Yeah, the deadstream media is pretty bad when you can’t even figure out WTH they’re talking about.

No, no, no. You’re all fools. They’re referring to the new 34MM Glock pistol they’re coming out with. I’m getting one for pocket carry!

No, it’s plainly a street-modified gun in “.34 Glock Murdermaster”, the Weapon of Choice for Master Murderers!

That article is racist or something.

Everyone knows that .357 rounded to the nearest unit of gun knowledge in the media (UGKTM.. pronounced ugh-kit-em) is .34.
April 16th, 2010 at 5:55 pm
I’m sorry, Truthsayer, but that isn’t true. Any quantity rounded to the nearest UGKITM is zero.

I wish I still had that article talking about the 200mm handgun.
I laughed so hard I sharted myself.

8.6MM – sure is a new one to me

.
Anyone know if it’s the ceramic Glock, invisible to airport radars?
What a buncha maroons.
