So if he gets absolutely everything he wants (some of which seems silly, some horribly short-sighted), he saves a whopping 0.3% of the state budget. Color me, umm, impressed?
Don’t get me wrong, we should save money wherever we can, but let’s not pretend that this makes a big difference. And in at least a couple of cases, the phrase “penny wise, pound foolish” comes to mind.
