Gun Porn
Of people that can just fuck right off, The Tennessean spews:
One hundred, sixty-eight people, killed when a truck bomb blew up the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. Six hundred others injured. Their “mistake” was to be working for or having business with the United States government.
That was 15 years ago Monday. Only a week ago, tea party members and conservative legislators were buzzing about the idea of establishing a “militia” to defend Oklahoma against federal tyranny.
Bomber Timothy McVeigh no doubt would have smiled at the idea.
Got that? Tea party = Timothy McVeigh.

Apparently, the Anti-Defamation League likes to go peruse internet forums and write about what internet tough guys talk about. The Violence Policy Center method of research.
So says MSNBC. I suppose he might be in the sense that he hasn’t actively pursued any real gun control regulations. And pretty much told his gun controlling AG to shut up about it. However, he’s as pro-gun a president as a guy who doesn’t collect stamps is a hobby stamp collector.
In response to my mention yesterday, a couple of folks suggested I try Warren Tactical Sights. I would be happy to if I could find a pumpkin on a post style sight. Not a fan of three dots.
I suppose with the anniversary of the bombing yesterday, everyone is doing some sort of remembrance or trying to salvage a legacy or trying to score cheap political points. To the latter two, I feel no need to distance myself from a psychopath like McVeigh because I’ve never felt any sort of association with him. So you can just fuck right off.
Meanwhile, Jacob Sullum:
If our government is not the greatest threat to our freedom, what is?
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is what it’s all about.
NSSF:
The first comprehensive survey to look at ownership and use of modern sporting rifles reveals that 8.9 million Americans went target shooting with AR-style rifles in 2009 and that participants using this type of rifle were the most active among all types of sport shooters.
Once again, the Violence Policy Center conflates permits to own with permits to carry.
Starts up next weekend. I look forward to many reports and pics. I gotta get out there one year.
None of those cousin-humping rednecks shot anyone at their pro-gun rallies. Round up of coverage here.
That was the magnitude of the earthquake that awoke me and the Mrs. this morning. According to the local press, the center was right near our place. Loud boom then the whole house shook for a few seconds.
I’m not at any of the pro-gun rallies scheduled for today. But if you are and want to let me know via email or in the comments, I’ll link that way.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
