WOW; POOR GUY. He needs a reloading kit and some dies REAL bad. Where is this, there is plenty of .380 where I live. Ive seen it at the last several gun shows(months apart) and in my local shops. I would treat it like 9mm MAk and just make it out of something else.
The local store here has four different brands of .380 auto in stock, and I just bought a Ruger LCP and a couple boxes from them. Alas, they have NO JHP in .380.
The last few guns shows I’ve been too (springfield MO, Branson MO, Ozark MO, Kimberling City MO) had plenty of 380. A year ago there was none available ANYWHERE.
Doesn’t affect me either way tho, cuz I won’t own a 380… too much recoil for little bitty guns. I prefer a .32 for a little gun even tho there are good arguments not to carry that.
I recall my dad taking me to a gun store when I was a kid in the 60’s and telling me he was thinking of buying an M-1 Carbine from the barrel full of dinged-up milsurp they had in the middle of the showroom floor. He never did, and I never did, and I regret it now something horrid.
However, I have saved some of my original receipts for both firearms and ammo from when I started buying, back in the 1980’s. I plan on depressing my children and grandchildren with these documents as they purchase their own guns and ammo.

I haven’t seen .380 in Wal-Mart for a couple of years, but Cabela’s had everything you could ask for in that caliber the last time I was there.
